Return policy

Effective October on 1st 2019, the following return policy will be applied by all Electro-Mag and Controles JAD branches.

An RMA must be issued by Electro-Mag or Controles JAD before any return of material. The information of 'restocking' fees and other expenses will be communicated to you on the RMA.

The shipping cost for the material return to one of our branches is the responsibility of the customer, except if the error comes from an order entry error and / or shipping error from Electro-Mag and / or Controles JAD.

 

Return under warranty - defective equipment

Responsibility for transport: Electro-Mag / Controles JAD

The return information will be sent to the customer with the RMA. In the case that the returned equipment is not defective or is not covered by the warranty due to misuse, the transportation will be re-invoiced to the customer at a cost of $ 12.50 for parcels and $ 120 for freight shipping.

 

Return of material held in inventory

Responsibility for transportation: The customer will be responsible for transportation to one of our branches.
A 'restocking' fee of 10% applies for any material that is normally held in inventory to cover administrative and handling charges. For more details you can discuss with your sale representative.

 

Return of non-inventory (not normally held) material

Responsibility for transportation: The customer will be responsible for transportation to one of our branches. In addition to these costs, transportation from our branch to the manufacturer and / or distributor, these costs will be confirmed upon the issuance of the RMA.
A 25% "restocking" fee applies to all returns of material not kept in inventory by our branches. These costs of transport and 'restocking' can not be removed.
